Hagerstown Students Test for Work Ready Community

Wayne County took a big step toward their Certified Work Ready Community (CWRC) designation. Juniors and seniors at Hagerstown High School took ACT’s WorkKeys skills assessment test which will help them identify their strengths and potential career paths. The test results from the students will count toward the county’s effort to earn the CWRC designation. The EDC of Wayne County sponsored the WorkKeys tests. EDC president, Valerie Shaffer said, “Nettle Creek Schools has been interested in testing their students since day one of this proposed initiative. They have a heart for bettering their students and their students contributions to the local workforce. We’re happy to sponsor this organization and its students.” Read more about Hagerstown High School’s program.
